It Takes a No to say “No”

Stop saying “Yes” to everything! When you don’t want to do something: the party you don’t feel like going to, that assignment you can’t help your friend with during the weekend because you have other commitments, the business deal you don’t want your company to commit to just yet, the additional project you are told to take on at work when you are alarmingly nervous of nearing the previous one’s deadline, and in many other decisions, from petty to life-altering ones such as a new job, new city, relationship, marriage et al, you can’t help but say “Yes”, either succumbing under the weight of your own self-righteousness or just out of habit or just to please your peers and family.
