It is common to feel unsatisfied when a work day ends, due to non-completion of work. It is difficult to stay productive and feel satisfied at the end of each work day. Productivity helps you add hours to your work schedule and here are some ways to increase your productivity:

Complete the most difficult tasks in the morning, while starting your day at work. Do not leave them for the last. Leaving them for later would simply drive your intent from pursuing them. Always take up the difficult, lengthy tasks in the morning and the shorter, simpler ones in the evening.

One of the most important factors behind not feeling productive is lack of love for one’s work. If you do not love what you do, chances are you will never feel charged up and inspired to do it. Always choose a profile of your liking.

Don’t think too much about the tasks given to you. Just start the work without giving it much thought, or without getting dreaded to complete a certain task.

There will be times when you wouldn’t be as productive and efficient as other days. Think of it as normal and don’t get too worked up thinking about it.

Try to stay away from the Internet. Of all things leading you to an unproductive day, the Internet is one of the biggest culprits.

By making a list and prioritising your tasks, you would be much better off in handling them than going ahead without any written plan. Feel in control of your work and don’t fret.

Half of the generation today is sleep deprived. Make sure you get enough sleep before starting your day. Sleep away to glory on weekends and make do for the time lost on the weekdays.

Find time to exercise daily, even if that means spending ten minutes stretching your muscles at home. After a eight- or nine-hour shift, our bodies need oxygen. And only a good night sleep and exercise can guarantee that. Stay in shape and say bye-bye to lethargy.

These are some of the suggestions that can make your life sorted and work easier. Follow these on a daily basis to increase your productivity at work and also at home. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to write and add on to the list.

The psychology of non-punctual beings in our kind is that for them punctuality is never a priority. Managing time and being punctual are two intricately related virtues. You can only arrive on time for appointments and commitments if you manage your time well. In other words, punctuality is mastering the skill of time management. Punctuality as a trait not only displays respect for the other person’s time but also speaks volumes about your character. The people who do not endorse it as a habit, the latecomers, show a lack of commitment to success at their work. If you do not want to be called sloppy, undisciplined and unorganised, mend your habits and tweak your routines. But it is not an easy habit to imbibe and takes time and effort to be on the other side of the fence. Let us see how we can be on time for everything.

Do Not Make Excuses: Making excuses is a lame habit and is never taken seriously. If you are a latecomer, accept that you have a problem of reaching late at the time of making commitments. If admitting the fact embarrasses you, well, stop underestimating how long it will take to reach a certain place and start early. Simple? Follow the same while completing an office project.

Fix the Time a Little Ahead: All the watches – wall, wrist and cell-phone – should be put at least ten minutes ahead of the actual time. It will not only make you accomplish your tasks in time but give you a much needed morale boost. As well, keep telling yourself that what you see is the actual time and you are not ricking yourself into accepting that it is.

If You Can’t Make It, Don’t Commit: There are times when you cannot say No before accepting invitations for important functions and parties. If you know that you would not be able to make it, or do not want to go, politely refuse the invitation rather than falsely committing your presence. Same goes for work: do not take too many tasks on your platter if you cannot complete these in time.

Make a List: Make a list of how long you know your daily tasks take you. For instance, you should know how long do your daily activities like bathing, getting ready, eating breakfast, driving to work, parking, gym, etc., take. To start with, do this for a week and see the positive change this simple activity will instil in you.

Another thing you could do is to think about the person having to wait around for you. Feels miserable? Quit being late, get on with time!

Ok. . .let’s start by saying however “BIG” you must be thinking at this moment, it is not enough. Thinking big comes with seeing big. Only when you venture into something that needs courage – (an idea or a brilliant service to offer or just your talent you need to reach out to people with) – will you gain something out of it. It is like becoming thick-skinned and following your heart, even when others express doubt over your actions. Become one with the vision – start seeing, hearing and feeling it – so you must pursue it, however silly that might seem to your peers and counterparts.

Rome was not built in a day and neither was it built by one person. Today, individuals, teams and companies can all benefit from thinking big! Let’s read tips that can help you think bigger:

A Baby Grows Up Into An Adult, It’s Not the Other Way Round: Things always start out small. It wouldn’t be a big thought without the small beginnings. Don’t bother about small thoughts, though. Stay with these and give these the time to grow big.

Don’t Be Afraid: Individuals are afraid of thinking big, they are afraid of becoming successful and rich. Becoming successful and rich is confined to the dream-space. They think about the pleasant thoughts and tell themselves invariably – “ONE DAY!” But they do nothing to take it to the next level. Do not be afraid of transforming your dream into a reality, come out of the comfort zone and stay committed to executing your vision, the courage will take care of itself.

With Arms Wide Open: You will have whatever you want by simply asking for it. Stay committed. Take calculated risks. Ask for more! Keep asking! The power of thinking big is that there are no limits to it. So, get more, inspire people, contribute and share and enrich the world around you!

Don’t Play Safe: There is a difference between what you think you can achieve and what you want. The ‘what-you-think-you-can-achieve’ domain is a safe, limited space and one that avoids displeasure whilst the ‘what-you-want’ is a huge, unlimited space, which is both big and audacious. Let’s ruffle a few feathers. Let’s makes some noise!

Quit Distraction.

We all put in the hours at work, but have we reviewed our output? Do we produce enough value to justify the hours we spend? We would be surprised by the results of our personal work audit. We cannot stop interruptions, but we can practice ways to get back to doing the important things that we have set out to accomplish in the day.

Let us study tips that can help us stay focused and make the most of our day:

A Healthy Breakfast: Eating a breakfast full with nutrients can have a positive effect and help improve your concentration. Do not skip it!

Log Out from Social Sites: Experts suggest that most of our distractions stem our overexposure to e-mails, chats, phones or networking sites. So, when you are attending to the most important tasks of the day, simply work offline. Turn off your Internet obsession momentarily. And putting your phone on silent, too, will work a tad better for your attentiveness.

Take Occasional Breaks: Give your brain time to breathe and help get the composure back. Staying late or working through the day, skipping meals and breaks might not be a good idea when you need to be super-productive. Do not pressurise yourself and avoid absorbing too much of information in one go. It never helps! Take short breaks to refresh your mind and body.

Caffeine Does the Trick: Chewing a gum or sipping tea or coffee is a good way to keep up the alertness. Try it and see the difference!

You can use distractions as a reward for accomplishing a certain task. Come online during these little breaks and complete whatever pending work you have.

Quit Wasting Time.

When you are managing your time effectively, not only are you being fair to yourself and others but are also helping strike the right balance between your professional and personal space. You should start by planning your day and scheduling and prioritising your tasks. Let us get you tips on time management before you say, “If only I had more time.”

First Schedule the Good Things: Divide your time into three parts. First, schedule the good things. Then schedule the things that need to be done to do the good things. Finally, schedule the things that are essential to your well being.

Time of Day Gets you Going: Once you determine the most productive time of day, you can concentrate on the most important task at hand during that time. Many persons are active in the morning while some others can do a million things at night. What are you? A morning person or a night person?

Set Your Own Rhythm and Keep to the Beat: Sometimes, while heading a big task it is important for you to let loose, to take a break. The break does not have to be long, but effective enough to refresh your mind and body. Do what you love the most in this break, like, a leisurely walk around the block, talking to a friend, sketching, watching some TV, reading a book, etc., and clear your mind so you can refocus.

Review your Schedule: Take time out to review your schedule and check for drawbacks. See if you need to mend something in order to work more productively. Reorder tasks based on priorities and write about the achieved targets every day.

Time is the one resource that all of us are given in equal measure. Everybody is given 24 hours in a day, 30 days in a month and 365 days in a year. The question is how well do you use the time given.

All these tips will enable you to successfully manage your time, and achieve balance in personal-professional sphere of life. Make sure you are sleeping for eight hours a day – it will help you think clearly and work energetically. Remember, all it takes is a few adjustments in the way you manage your time daily to change your life forever.

Quit Wasting Time. Make Every Moment Count!
