Jayaroopa Jeyabarathi (“Roopa”) is an investor at Ankur Capital, an early stage venture capital fund investing in startups with transformative technologies for next billion Indians.. She is also the co-founder of Encubay Angel Network, an angel network primarily for women investors and others who believe in gender diverse entrepreneurs, solving big problems. As the co-founder of Women in Investing network, she manages a professional network for women investors in Venture Capital, private equity and angel investors in India. She earlier led the Indian investments for Patamar Capital, a Venture capital firm/impact investor targeting the mass markets in South and South East Asia. She also led the Indian Investments at Fondazione Opes. Prior to her career in investing, she held senior roles in fundraising, investor relations and managing products at a large microfinance institution, as financial inclusion is a topic close to her heart. Earlier, she was a corporate banker at a large private bank.
