Indraneel Majumdar was a successful hotelier who came into Mall Management in the year 2005 at City Centre, Kolkata. He was then the AGM – Food and Beverage there. In 2006, he moved to Pune to set up WONDER FUNKEY for the Wonder Group and won a few awards in IAAPI 2008. After that, he joined Phoenix Mills as a Deputy Development Director back in 2008. All the Phoenix Market Cities that we see today were being built back then. He was in charge of Bangalore Phoenix Market City and subsequently with Phoenix Market City Pune too. Inorbit Malls beckoned and he joined them in December 2010 to manage the launch of Inorbit Whitefield in Bangalore. In 2013, he moved to VR Bengaluru as Center Director. Post that the startup bug bit him and he quickly rolled out a consulting company, a couple of restaurants and a facility company. AKM Group from Kolkata called him to helm a Destination venture as the CEO of the Group. He helmed the company for two years. Then, he resumed his consulting practice and started a boutique firm – Linkmind Consulting. This firm gave birth to Majaa Malls Pvt. Ltd. and some malls were planned but remained on paper. Then Sarath City Capital Mall Hyderabad happened. He has been at the helm of business since 2018. 433 stores, food stalls and entertainment centres later, the mall is in the throes of greatness today.
