Jagannath has over 24 years of experience in equity investing, lending, fund raising, banking and mentoring start-ups. He is currently a Partner at Ventureastand focuses on early stage investments in Health-tech, Agri-tech and Life Science sectors. Over the past 8 years with Ventureast, Jagannath was instrumental in identifying, investing and exiting from several companies. Some of the investments managed by him are: India's largest home healthcare company, India’s largest organic food retailer, India's only store-in-clinic eyewear company and an innovative recombinant protein manufacturer.

Apart from having an active role with Angel networks, TIE Hyderabad and IKC Life Sciences Incubator, Jagannath is also leading a Ventureast initiative to set up an Incubator for agri-tech and health-tech start-ups in collaboration with ICRISAT and Atal Innovation Mission.

Jagannath also has extensive experience in project finance and corporate banking through his 11 year stint with ICICI Bank. He is an alumnus of IIM Lucknow (MBA) and Osmania University (BE-Mech).
