Prof P.K. Sinha,
Professor in Retailing and Marketing, Chairperson, Centre for Retailing, IIM Ahmedabad
Mr. Sinha is a Professor in Retailing and Marketing at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), India. He is also the Chairperson of the Centre for Retailing at IIMA. Before IIMA, he has been a faculty at IIM Bangalore, XIMB and Dean at MICA.
Mr. Sinha also holds a PhD in marketing. His current research interests are in the areas of retailing and consumer behaviour, especially in format and store choice, loyalty programmes and petroleum retailing. He has published articles in International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Research, Journal of Brand Management, FQS: Forum Qualitative Sozialforschung/ Forum: Qualitative Social Research [On-line Journal] and Vikalpa.
He is on the editorial board of International Journal of Applied Decision Sciences and the Resident Editor for AMS Review. He has published several books. His book on Retailing has been published by Oxford University Press. Between 1995 and 1999, Mr. Sinha worked as marketing manager for Gujarat Gas, a utility company, and Rasna, an FMCG company.
