She is the Head - Retail, FMCG, Luxury Gems & Jewellery and Direct Selling divisions of FICCI. She is working towards creating a positive business environment in retail and FMCG space. Shilpa has been on various panels discussing the trends, projections and opportunities in retail and FMCG arena.

She is an avid writer on various aspects of internal trade and macroeconomics. She has spearheaded the agenda of direct sales in FICCI.

She is on board with many educational institutes like Sharda University, Amity University, and IIPM. She is a member of IIMC, Inter ministerial Committee on monitoring misleading advertisements, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India.

Her expertise on policy is sort after by Central and State governments in the field of FDI in Retail, E-Commerce, Shop and Establishment etc.

She brings with her a rich experience of 9 years in the industry associations. Prior to FICCI, She handled membership, Young Business Forum, and business practices in PHD Chamber of Commerce. She has been the editor of PHD chamber monthly magazine for almost 3 years .She is a Masters in Economics and Master Education from Delhi University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in "CSR- An obvious choice for pure business!" She is a proud Modernite, who has crafted her professional journey with her precise understanding of the Indian economy and her articulate communication abilities.
