The Pasta Bar Veneto
Quintessential Italian cuisine served in ample proportions, tastefully done interiors with warm staff and music that perfectly lends to the ambience. This is what India's largest chain of Signature Italian restaurants, The Pasta Bar Veneto, has grown to be known for in just a couple of years of operations. Foraying into the Hospitality sector with this fabulous concept is Fifth Avenue Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd, the hospitality division of Fifth Avenue Sourcing (a very successful garment sourcing business that caters to the most fashionable brands across the world.). Winning a slew of awards within just a year of operations, The Pasta Bar Veneto was conferred with ‘The Best Italian Restaurant’ in Chennai by Times Food Guide, ‘Best Italian Cuisine in Chennai’ by Mouthshut & ‘The Best Pastas’ in town by BURRP. Now, being voted as one of 'Asia's Finest Restaurants' by the internationally renowned The Miele Guide very recently puts The Pasta Bar Veneto on the international map of authentic restaurant chains.
Based out of Chennai, the restaurant already has three outlets in the heart of Chennai, one in the laid back quarters of the erstwhile French colony of Pondicherry and a couple of Franchise restaurants in Ludhiana and Coimbatore. Being a very young and energetic brand, the restaurant already has a strong fan following from the youth and young at heart, simply because it delivers delectable Italian dishes many of which, by the way, are recipes that Mr. Vinodh Sharma, Managing Director of Fifth Avenue Hotels & Resorts, brought straight from the homes of his friends from Italy. Having spent most of his life in the Food & Beverage industry, Vinodh mentions, “Every region in Italy has a different specialty owing to the fact that the Italian cuisine, over the past two centuries has largely been influenced by Mediterranean and Persian cuisines. This naturally brings in subtle changes and substantial differences in taste and texture.”
With expansion plans that will see as many as 26 restaurants being opened in the coming year, The Pasta Bar Veneto is tapping into the potential of Tier II and Tier III cities with a carefully worked out franchising model. When quizzed, Mr. Vinodh Sharma revealed “We’ve been keeping a close eye on the rapid urbanization that the country has been experiencing over the past decade. With such growth, even denizens of tier II and III cities now are open to the Italian cuisine with pastas and pizzas being a hot favorite already. We intend to tap the potential of the major metros in South India with our franchise model that has been devised by a very meticulous thought process that makes it easy to replicable in terms of expansion”. Speaking about the instant success of the franchise model has enjoyed, Mr. Hari, VP-Operations adds, "Having opened a couple of Franchise Restaurants in Ludhiana and Coimbatore, We have franchise enquiries pouring in from all over India with Delhi, Punjab, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andra Pradesh, Kerala & Tamil Nadu being in the forefront of such partnerships.”
It’s not just fabulous food that The Pasta Bar has to offer. Every restaurant has been designed with a lot of attention going to even the minutest of details. Be it the cozy interiors of its first restaurant tucked into the famous Alsa Mall at Chennai, the contemporary glass and wood interiors of its T Nagar outlet (that lets the excellent sunshine Chennai offers through the year fill the restaurant with a warm glow) or the French inspired architecture of the two floor Pondicherry restaurant, The Pasta Bar Veneto delivers the true Italian dining experience that is just short of an address in Venice or some idyllic town in Italy.
Serving over 23 types of pastas, lasagnas, pizzas, grills, sandwiches, drinks, desserts, coffee and lots more, The Pasta Bar Veneto will simply enchant you, fulfilling a desire to experiencing Italy without having to travel that far.
